About us

Our Campus

The Berlin campus – your home in the heart of Germany.

Our capital city is a vibrant, bustling home to nearly four million people. A quarter of them come from outside the country, bringing different traditions and lifestyles to an amazing backdrop of German history and culture. It makes for a unique mix and is the perfect place for anyone who likes to live in full colour.

The campus is to the east of the centre, giving you a quiet place for your studies at the same time as affording you access to shops, restaurants, cafes, bars and Berlin’s amazing nightlife.

Embracing Diversity at IU

Groups of friends smiling and doing a Hi-5

“Variety is the very spice of life, That gives it all its flavor.”

William Cowper's poem, “The Task” (1785)

At IU, we believe strongly in equal opportunity for all. The concept of diversity and gender equality is and has always been a core pillar of the organisation and shapes our working and studying culture.

Aside from increasing the number of female students, professors, and lecturers, we do our best to adapt our study options to meet our students’ needs, especially those with disabilities or from under-represented groups – so you can complete your degree without worries.
