Upload a copy of your high school leaving diploma or bachelor’s degree certificate. If you don’t have this, then submit something equivalent like subject-related higher education entrance qualification. 

Depending on your country of residence, you might need to fulfill extra criteria, including passing a university entrance examination. Your personal study advisor will inform you of the exact requirements by call or email.

Proof of English Language Proficiency

Depending on where you are from you might need to provide proof of English language skills before the start of studies. We accept the following English language skills certificates (no older than 5 years): 

  • English B2 level certificate 
  • TOEFL (minimum 80 points) or 
  • IELTS (minimum Level 6) or 
  • Cambridge Certificate (minimum Grade B) or 
  • Equivalent proof, e.g. Speexx B2.2 Certificate (through the free IU English course) - further information can be requested from our student advisors. 
  • Duolingo English test (min. 105 points, not older than 5 years): This can be completed anywhere and at any time via smartphone and costs $49. Prospective students can obtain further information on the Duolingo test directly from the Student Advisory Service. 

Proof of Work Experience

If you are applying for a master’s or an MBA we additionally require, proof that you have at least 1 year of work experience. Upload a job reference or an employer's certificate in the area below. Don’t meet the requirements yet? Talk to your personal study advisor about conditional acceptance.

Start your studies

When we have got everything we require, you can start your programme at IU International University of Applied Sciences. Once you have completed 50% of your course and handed in all necessary documents, you will be automatically registered as a student.
