So as Walt Disney would say it, all your dreams can come true if you have the courage to pursue them. I've actually studied Aviation Management at IU International University of Applied Science, and now I'm currently working for Deutsche Bahn as the executive assistant for the member of the management board for passenger transport. So… I always thought I will be flying a plane by now; Instead I'm here at dB tower and I guess that's where I belong.

Everything started back in the days when we used to travel back and forth between continents -because my father is Canadian, (and) my mom is German. Ever since, I knew I wanted to grow in the aviation mobility industry. So I started studying aviation management.

I was always admiring the aviation - and mobility and transportation - industry as such. So as a kid, I always wanted to become a pilot. So I started my career studies at IU really focusing on the aviation bit. After a while, I broadened my horizons, because I wanted to learn more about the world. But I experienced that I wanted to come back to (the) mobility and transportation area, which I eventually did, by joining dB.

So what I liked most about the IU education was on the one hand, the diversity, diversity not only talking about the different people, but also the diversity in the lectures we were having. So obviously I'm very happy (with) where I am today. It's a super interesting role and I'm very honoured. However, I do not know where I would have been without IU. I know that IU underlined my passion for aviation, and (by) consequence also for the mobility industry. To sum it up, I'm very happy I studied at IU.

So my final advice for you is: take every opportunity you might be getting, try things out and hang in there.
