Prof. Dr. Mirko Bendig is a professor of Innovation and International Management at the IU University of Applied Sciences online studies department. He specialises in innovation management, entrepreneurship and international management. He also teaches courses on micro- and macroeconomics.
His alma mater is the University of Göttingen, where he completed his Bachelor in Economics, a Master in International Economics, and a PhD titled “Empirical Analysis of Participation Patterns in Microfinancial Markets: The Cases of Ghana and Sri Lanka”.
Mirko Bendig has worked in the private sector, as a corporate and innovation consultant, since 2007. In 2014, he founded a digital innovation management start-up, where he served as the managing director until 2020. His business work is marked by the use of agile, customer-focused methods, their pragmatic implementations, and a results-oriented approach.
